East Ridge Word Spinners
The purpose of our Toastmasters club is to help members improve their communication and leadership skills in a friendly, non-threatening, supportive environment. We learn by doing, each member taking responsibility at his/her own pace.
East Ridge Word Spinners is affiliated with Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization which includes nearly 250,000 men and women in more than 12,000 clubs in more than 106 countries.
Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better.
East Ridge Word Spinners meets for about one and one half hours twice a month. Each meeting provides everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, responding to impromptu situations, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.
